Upcoming Programs
Plants 'n Bugs
In the mornings we learn about some of the plants and "crawlies" around us. We study the ladybug lifecycle way up close, searching and caring for them week one, then build an ant farm week two. We examine the roses in Julia Davis' famous garden, build our own planters and plant seeds in them.
Art and Drama
We take advantage of the gorgeous nature around us--sky and sun, plants and animals, creek, dirt and air--to help your kids connect to the earth and find inspiration. Drama, storytelling, creative writing and visual arts all take place in our afternoon sessions, when the days are at their hottest.
Breath 'n Books
Helping kids to connect with the natural world and themselves, we explore and breathe deeply. We focus on all five senses, and take a few moments to get quiet. We read good children's books that focus on nature and take special field trips to places such as the MK Nature Center.
